the semi-effective patio heater

In looking for a patio heater to live on a wood deck, I decided that this style would be safer and more effective than the pit-style heater, especially since several restaurants in the area use them. I found that it warms as long as there is no breeze and one huddles closeby, but I regret that I did not purchase the open fireplace, which would have been both visually and physically more warming. It works well mechanically and is easy to operate, and I'm sure it would heat better if the patio had a cover to help retain the heat.
